Cheap Qantas Airways flights

Founded in the Queensland outback in 1920, Qantas has been helping Australians fly over, across and out of the ‘great southern land’ for almost a century. Nicknamed ‘The Flying Kangaroo’, the national carrier is the world's oldest continuously operating airline.

Qantas Airways Fleet

Over the years, Qantas has built a reputation for having high standards of safety and reliability and has never suffered a fatal jet crash. The Qantas network covers 151 destinations in 38 countries, with a total fleet of over 200 aircraft. As Australia’s largest domestic airline, it offers hourly flights between most capital cities.
Since 1926, Qantas aircraft have been given individual names, ranging from Greek deities and stars to famous Australian aviators and native birds. The latest aircraft series to bear the Qantas logo is the flagship Airbus A380, which is being progressively introduced on flights from Sydney and Melbourne to Los Angeles, Singapore and London. The theme of the series is Australian Aviation Pioneers, with the first A380 named after Nancy Bird Walton, the youngest Australian woman to gain a pilot’s license.
In celebration of Australia’s indigenous cultural heritage, Qantas commissioned the painting of two of its aircraft to depict Aboriginal Dreamtime stories: the Wunala Dreaming-themed Boeing 747-400 and the Yananyi Dreaming-inspired Boeing 737-800, which is painted with the creation story of the Anangu people of Uluru. Like skiddoo, the word yananyi means ‘going’ or ‘travelling’.
