Singapore Changi Airport is Singapore’s main airport and one of South Asia’s major aviation hubs. Jett8 Airline, Valuair, Jetstar Asia Airways Tiger Airways, Scoot, SilkAir, Singapore Airlines Cargo, and Singapore Airlines all utilize the airport as a home base. Flyers have access to 220 cities in about 60 countries through the 100 airlines that serve the airport. Qantas utilizes the airport as a secondary hub.

Singapore Changi Airport has four passenger terminals and two runways. In 2011 the airport served 46,543,845 passengers. The airport is a beautiful airport with a reputation of outstanding quality and has won over 390 awards.

The airport has a number of facilities and services which include baby care room, prayer room, postal and telecommunications, passenger meeting services, information and customer service counter, hotel reservations counter, convenience stores baggage services, special need facilities and services, smoking area, and a Singapore visitors centre. Internet access and business centres are also available within the airport as well as news and financial information. The airport also features many shopping and dining facilities which include duty free shops and many bars and lounges to enjoy an alcoholic beverage.

Singapore Changi Airport also features an array of events which include Singapore’s Tallest Slide, Flying or Not, Be a Changi Millionaire, First Forest Themed Indoor Playground, Bhutan: The Untouched Kingdom, Canopy, and Changi Rewards. The airport also features many fun things for young flyers which include a butterfly garden, Singapore tours, fern garden, a family zone, an entertainment lounge, an entertainment deck, a children’s playground, Internet terminals, Interactive art, horticulture display, a photo zone, a Koi pond, an orchid garden, a movie theatre, a sunflower garden, swimming pool, a science centre, a television lounge as well as many other highlights for the kids.

The airport’s hotel, the Crowne Plaza Hotel, has been voted as one of the “World’s Top 10 Airport Hotels" and is linked to Terminal 3. Other leisure pleasures for flyers to enjoy within the airport is a free Singapore tour, hair and beauty services, a music bar lounge, a nature trail, swimming pool, shower, fitness and spa services, rest areas, and a transit hotel.

Singapore Changi Airport has six pubic car parks which are managed by an electronic parking system. Short term parking, long term parking and disabled parking are all available.
