Land of Natural Beauty & High Adventure

It’s vast, it’s expansive and it’s beautiful. That’s Pakistan, a land of natural beauty and high adventure. Nature lovers will have a heyday in the country with its varied outdoor activities: bird watching, trout fishing, desert and mountain jeep safaris, white water rafting, mountaineering, trekking, yak and camel safaris. Mountaineers and trekkers will find challenges in the ranges of Hindukush, Karakoram and the Himalayas.

More than mountains

Pakistan has hundreds of mountain peaks, including K2, but it also has some other attractions, such as the copper and gold rich Saindak and Reko Diq in Baluchistan, temples, and national parks with varying landscapes. You can even go on air safari and view the beautiful mountain peaks from a different angle.

Weather Extremes

Summer in southern Pakistan can be unforgiving with the humidity and temperature that reaches up to 40 °C (104 °F). Best times to come to these parts (Baluchistan, Punjab or Sind, Bawalpur, Multan, Lahore, and Karachi) would be in the winter between November and April.

In the spring and summer months from May until October, the weather is fine in the northern parts of Pakistan including Azad Kashmir. You can drive a 4 x 4 in the lush green valleys or take a long drive at Karakoram Highway. The peaks in the north beckon climbers. The areas are well above sea level, so there’s no pollution but since the air is thinner, you can get a tan very easily. Better have plenty of sunscreen, cover your head and wear sunglasses.
