Compare cheap flights to Ozamiz
Ozamiz is one of three cities in the province of Misamis Occidental in Southern Philippines. Located in the province’s southeastern side, Ozamiz is nestled between the merging point of Panguil and Iligan Bays, where the former is a source of excellent seafood that the city is known for.
Etched in its history is the bravery and heroism of men and women when the Philippines was under colonial rule from the Spanish invasion to the Japanese occupation. Just 52 kilometers from Ozamiz is the famous Maria Cristina Falls, the main hydroelectric power source in Mindanao.
In spite of being a historical, cultural, and pilgrimage destination in Mindanao, Ozamiz remains relatively unknown as a major tourist spot. Three of its main attractions are the Aquamarine Park, where you can swim with dolphins in Dolphin Island; the Hoyohoy Highland Park, 850 meters above sea level and home of the highest and longest zipline in Southeast Asia; and the Pipe Organ of Immaculate Conception Cathedral, the only existing organ in Mindanao.
Two airlines make Ozamiz accessible from Manila and Cebu. Cebu Pacific Air and PAL Express each have one direct flight from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport terminals 2 and 3 daily, and from the Mactan Cebu International Airport. Planes land at the Labo Airport, presently classified as a community airport. Until the facility and runway are upgraded, including providing night landing equipment, the terminal can only accommodate daytime flights.
